COUNTDOWN Presents on WASH and Demands on CDDs at COR-NTD 2016

Wednesday, 09 Nov 2016

COUNTDOWN is going to tackle issues relating to  Schistosomiasis and Soil-transmitted Helminthiasis (STH). Most importantly, we will discuss our efforts to integrate into the health system - Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) and using preventive chemotherapy to interrupt and eliminate these Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).

We will also look at the demands placed on Community Drug Distributors who are integral to getting drugs to the rural population during Mass Drug Administrations.

If you are going to attend the conference, please be sure to drop in at one of our sessions below.

And do check out this poster presentation of our work in Cameroon at the crater lakes of Barombi Mbo and Barombi Kotto, presented by Prof. Louis Albert Tchuem-Tchuente on efforts being made to interrupt transmission of Schistosomiasis and the introduction of foreign snail species to this environment. What next for Female Genital Schistosomiasis? These issues all highlighted here.
